On July 8, AI-HSS held its first hybrid committee meeting. Vice President Zhao Zhiqin delivered remarks and issued appointments. Professor Zeng Yong, former UESTC President and Dean of AI-HSS, presented a report titled “Anchoring at Interdisciplinary Frontiers Uniting Forces for Innovation.”

Professor Wu Xiaoqiu (Renmin University of China) chaired the meeting. Experts including Qiu Renzong (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences), Liu Dachun (Renmin University of China), and Ouyang Kang (Huazhong University of Science and Technology) advised on discipline development, research strategy, and talent cultivation. Over 20 faculty representatives attended the meeting.
