On January 13th, the Donation Signing Ceremony for Development Fund of AI-HSS was held at the Qingshuihe Campus. Kong Lingjiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee, Vice President of the University, and Executive Vice Chairman of the Education Development Foundation; Tian Guanghe, Director of the Cooperation and Development Department and Secretary-General of the Education Development Foundation; Zeng Yong, Dean of AI-HSS; Shen Xiaorong, Executive Director of AI-HSS’s Affairs Committee; Lei Ruipeng, Vice Dean of AI-HSS; as well as representatives from enterprises and individual donors attended the ceremony.

On behalf of the university, Kong Lingjiang expressed gratitude and stated that the humanities and social sciences are crucial pillars for building a world-class university. This donation reflects the support of all sectors of society for the university's development. The university will utilize the donated funds in accordance with regulations, fully supporting the Institute’s growth and cultivating innovative talents who integrate technology with the humanities. During the ceremony, Tian Guanghe signed agreements with Zhang Ya and Zhou Xiaochen from Shenzhen Qianhai Jiechuang Capital Management Co., Ltd.; Liang Haitao from Wanchuangke (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd.; Chen Yingxiong from Dongfanghonghai Brand Management (Xiamen) Co., Ltd.; Cheng Yaogui from Sichuan Zhishu Construction Development Co., Ltd.; Zhang Shunze from Chengdu Houhe Trading Co., Ltd.; Luo Shi from Sichuan Zhengcheng Investment Co., Ltd.; alumnus Cao Feng; and university faculty members Professor Zeng Yong, Professor Ma Yongkai, and Professor Xiao Wen. Shen Xiaorong presented donation certificates. The donated funds will be used for scholarships and excellence-in-teaching awards at AI-HSS, encouraging faculty and students to strive for excellence.

Following the ceremony, an exchange symposium was held. Zeng Yong, on behalf of the Institute, expressed sincere gratitude. He introduced that AI-HSS focuses on cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields internationally, striving to build a high-level academic platform and explore the core issues of human social development in the technological era. He emphasized that the generous support from alumni and faculty members not only injects strong momentum into the AI-HSS's development but also demonstrates their commitment to education and sense of responsibility in giving back to their alma mater.

Representatives of the donors actively spoke at the symposium, fondly recalling their learning and growth experiences at their alma mater and expressing their best wishes for the development of the humanities and social sciences at the university. They unanimously agreed that in an era where new technologies profoundly transform society, promoting the integration of technology and the humanities is of great significance. Enterprises will actively fulfill their social responsibilities, continue to pay attention to and support the development of their alma mater, and look forward to deepening cooperation with the university in areas such as talent cultivation and industry- university-research collaboration, jointly serving the strategic needs of the country. Faculty and student representatives from AI-HSS also attended the event.
