On March 9, 2026, a four-member delegation led by Professor He Daji, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), visited AI-HSS, UESTC to sign an MOU on cooperation in research and talent development. The meeting was attended by Vice President Zhao Zhiqin, representatives from the Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs, relevant officials from the Glasgow College, and faculty representatives from AI-HSS.

On behalf of the university, Zhao welcomed He and his delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s development and academic strengths. He noted that the two institutions share a long-standing partnership and close ties, and expressed his hope to further deepen cooperation and pursue collaborative development in the future.

He noted that CityUHK places great importance on cooperation with high-level universities in mainland China. He emphasized that UESTC’s strong capabilities in the field of electronics and information technology form a unique complement to research in the humanities and social sciences. He expressed hope that this signing ceremony would serve as an opportunity to transform cooperative intentions into concrete projects, jointly cultivate high-quality, multidisciplinary talent, and promote interdisciplinary innovation.
